Guang Yu & Co. was found on 19th June 2009, under sanctions of Department of Justice, Guangdong and Bureau of Justice of Guangzhou Municipality. Though a relatively new name, our members have been practicing in professional legal services for over a dozen years.

Three of our partners include Mr. Xu Guang Yu, who was awarded “Excellent Lawyer of China” and acting the Director of Maritime Law Committee of China Lawyers’Association and Maritime Law Committee of Guangdong Lawyers’ Association; Mr. Zhou Chong Yu, who is the Secretary-General of Maritime Law Committee of Guangdong Lawyer Association and member of Martime Law Committee of China Lawyer's Association; and Ms Long Yu Lan, member of Maritime Law Committee of China Lawyer's Association and Criminal Committee of Guangdong Lawyers Association and Maritime Law Committee of Guangdong Lawyers Association.

We regularly offer advice on pro bono to government bodies and universities. We have been invited to the seminars organized by Legislative Affairs Office of the Sate Council, Supreme Court and Ministry of Transport of China in drafting the law and regulations. Our team was invited to give lectures to students and employees by Dalian Maritime University, Shanghai Maritime University, Fudan University, Wenchong Shipyard and ENN of Guangxi.

We also concern for the development in the professional knowledge. Dozens of articles written by our lawyers are published and all of them had won awards.
